Hi there Substack readers,
Here’s a save me for later post- or send to a friend or family member who might need it.
You’ve heard me say a bunch; we will all be patients at some point. It’s part of our collective human experience. The only thing separating us all is time.
I do hope you can avoid a hospital for as long as possible, but that day will come. For some, sooner than others.
Here’s some of my posts that may help when you or a loved one are admitted.
Let me know if you have other suggestions for ways to navigate challenges in the hospital- drop it in the comments!
Substack does make you log in to comment, so either follow the prompts to log in or snag Substack app and comment there.
DID YOU KNOW?
Many of you know I’m an actor. Fun fact, I did three episodes of Silicon Valley season 2. Catch a funny moment here:
If you’re new here and wondering, “what happened to this lady?” read:
I started writing this when I was on dialysis. It’s intended to be both memoir and a practical tool to help folks who might be going through something similar or those caregivers and family supporting someone with a challenging diagnosis. NOTE: This is not intended to replace actual medical guidance. Please consult your doctors on your individual challenges and situations. Please talk to your clinicians before adjusting any of your care protocols. Also names have been changed for most of my medical staff.
Thank you to CC Couchois, Roy Lenn, and Dr. Richard Burwick for your founding level donation.
