If you know a blood donor, please send this to them…
Dear blood donors who helped save my life,
Thank you. I wish I could meet you. Share with you the journey of my healing and how your blood is a part of it.
Today I scraped my arm and thought of the collective value of the blood inside me. For a small window of time after the transfusions, my body held your DNA. Your platelets and red blood cells made me strong and helped me fight another day.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and enduring the cringe of a needle for a few moments. I hope they played fun music and gave you delicious juice and fruit snacks.
I will pay it forward and give back to the world in a way that would make you proud.
If you ever have a hard day, please remember, you are a hero. You stepped up when others didn’t. You answered the call… a call that is profoundly important. You saved one to three lives ( or more if you are a repeat donor). You created a happy-ever-after for a family.
And because of you, I am here.
Eternally grateful,
Taylor

A beautiful appeal to any one ready to give. Thank God for those who made all the difference in the world to you 💖
If you're a blood donor, consider bringing a friend... folks can be reluctant, maybe bring someone along w you who's always considered it. The supply is low... recovering for a severe crisis last year. https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/02/09/blood-donation-rules-changes-red-cross/
