Good Vibrations - A Playlist
I believe in music's power to make us feel better and in the flow.
Greetings Gorgeous Substack Readers,
During my time in the hospital and on dialysis - through hard times, I lean on music to help me rise above my challenges. With help from my Instagram followers, I made a no-judgment, unapologetic, feel-good - and in the flow with the universe - powerful playlist.
Genre is all over the place, but the vibes align.
Difficulties are all around us. Sometimes, it’s okay to crawl into a hole and be sad and angry and scared.
The world is a hard place. I’m no stranger to that. It can be extremely hard to pull out of the nose-dive negative loop. Just today I fell into a “life isn’t fair” pit of despair for a bit.
And I’m not wrong. Life isn’t fair.
But music helps as disco ball of light amidst adversity. So dance, my friends. Dance, brush yourself off, and energize yourself into a higher vibe of action, hope, and possibility.
And it might also cure your road-rage.
Do you have a suggestion of a song for the list that lights you up? Tell me in the comments! I’ll add it.
I’m speaking at the AHUS conference this week in Disney World. If you’re going, drop me a line and let me know. I’d love to meet you!
Did You Miss it?
Quote of the Week:
Grateful for long-time reader and new paid subscriber Hannah Sussman. She’s always working for mental health support for all. So thankful for your support!
If you’re new here and wondering, “what happened to this lady?” read:
I started writing this when I was on dialysis. It’s intended to be both memoir and a practical tool to help folks who might be going through something similar or those caregivers and family supporting someone with a challenging diagnosis. NOTE: This is not intended to replace actual medical guidance. Please consult your doctors on your individual challenges and situations. Please talk to your clinicians before adjusting any of your care protocols. Also names have been changed for most of my medical staff.
Thank you to CC Couchois, Roy Lenn and Dr. Richard Burwick for your founding level donation.
Impossible to feel a single ‘note’ of despair in these songs!!
This playlist is so great, <3 it
